The modern chaise longue was first popularized during the 16th century in France. They were created by French furniture craftsmen for the rich to rest without the need to retire to the bedroom. It was during the Rococo period that the chaise longue became the symbol of social status and only the rarest and most expensive materials were used in their construction. The Shelta, marvelous chaise lounge is an elegant piece to add to your interior, especially suitable for living rooms and halls. Upholstered with velvet, it is durable and pleasant to touch. The chaise lounge is additionally embroidered with tufted buttons and nail head trim. A combination of engineered wood structure and Mahogany solid wood leg frame make the lounge exceptionally durable, warranting great stability and longevity.

Product Care

• Regularly vacuum upholstery by cleaning attachments to remove dust and debris.
• Use a soft brush attachment and gentle movements for the cleaning task to avoid scratching or marking the material.
• For spills and stains, use a approved fabric cleaner spray.
• Do not place your fabric too close to a heat source, as it may cause it to crack and age prematurely.
• Do a spot test before you spray the whole headboard
• Use a scented linen spray to spritz the headboard for room more fresh.
• For wooden elements which are finished with premium timber, thus no regular polishing required. Wipe first with wet cloth and wipe dry with a clean cloth.
• Avoid sitting on the arms, back or very edge of the furniture as this may cause distortion and/or damage.
